Description

In addition to unit testing, a scientific validation procedure should be implemented for ctools. This procedure should make sure that the scientific precision of the results does not degrade between subsequent releases for the tools.

For each tool, a scientific validation procedure needs to be defined and implemented. Examples of things that can be checked are:
  • fit results for a reference model and dataset
  • pull distributions
  • log-likelihood values
