Description
This action is a follow-up of #1412.
We want to investigate whether the current formulation of minor and major axes for elliptical models are stable in model fitting or whether another formulation should be implemented. Note that the current code does not guarantee that the major axis is always the longer axis. An alternative would be to define ellipticity.
