Test file content during the unit tests

Description
So far the content of the files produced by the ctools is not tested during the unit tests. This means that if some code change alters the files this will not be recognised.
Test should be added that check the file content versus a reference value. Note that such tests are better qualified as integration tests, and this could be the occasion to add specific tests for the integration of the tools and scripts.
