Description
When simulating a source and fitting the source with the simulated spectrum, there are some spectral residuals when applying energy dispersion. Below some residual plots generated with csrespec
for gammalib version 1.5.0., i.e. without the energy dispersion kludge, and with the current bugfix version 1.5.1. There seems to be some structure in the residual spectrum that is not there when the data are simulated and analysed without energy dispersion.
1.5.0 | 1.5.1 | without energy dispersion |
The data are simulated for the energy interval 20 - 150 GeV, which is of course an extreme interval.

It turned out that the features in the plot were spurious. With a ten times increased source flux there are no obvious features, hence the issue is rejected.
